So which one would YOU choose? On Saturday at @workingartiststudios we launched a raffle to raise funds for the studio. The prize? Well, the winner will get a choice between two pieces of mine. Thank you to those who have already bought tickets. They are available from WAS and online soon! Two sculptures of figures from both Irish written and spoken history/mythology. Made from steel and copper using welding and gas cutting techniques.Niamh Chinn Óir warned Oisín son of Fionn of na Fianna should he follow his love for her to the land of eternal youth, he could never return to the mortal world without his own mortality returning with him. He did anyway. Niamh watches in sorrow from high on her pedestal… OR… Suibhne Mac Colmáin, the mad king found his freedom by becoming a bird of the wild. He traveled freely unhindered by clothing or worldly possessions. Suibhne joins the dawn chorus…The choice is yours…

Thank you everyone who joined Paul in the basement of WAS on Saturday for his printing demonstration. It was fascinating to see the process in real time and to answer all of your questions.

Are you ready for the magic? Join us this afternoon making paper boats that we will launch tomorrow in solidarity with the people of Gaza and the Barcelona Flotilla. Cecilia is on hand to show you the ropes if your boat making skills are a bit rusty.
